The big kids owned the park—ollies snapping, kickflips cracking, tre flips on command. Zack spilled hard, torn knees, heat rushing to his face as laughter echoed. He grabbed his board, replaying every move. Next time. Next time, he wouldn’t choke—he’d nail it.

Looking for directions? Confrontation? Confusion? From whatever angle you looked at it, the conversation was lively and loud. 04/2024 -- Nikon D850

I didn’t see you
Saw you
Seen you there
Somewhere before,
But after here.
Making movement
Motion
Action flare
Somehow dance
From here to there.
We fly
And ride
Or skip
And glide
To destinations
Far and wide.
Being seen
In motions
blurred beyond
Until we’ve all arrived.

And let loose a roar as if from his soul.
You say air is for breathing?
Oh, yet I must disagree, my boy.
It’s so much more fun to ride.

Cast Away and Fly

Finding the patterns of Washington DC architecture staring down at us as we walked in and out of the waterfront shops trying to stay cool, the buildings were kissed by the sun from the late June sky, making their grandeur almost mythical. 06/24 - Nikon D850

DC Waterfront Kiss

Motion and depth give this glowing purple lily an almost balletic presence. Shot in-studio and a result of 11 image focus-stacked to provide detail and depth. 09/24 - Nikon D850

While most often considered a weed and discarded, upon closer inspection, the Hairy Aster has an almost lyrical beauty praying for our attention. 10/24 - Nikon D850
